Abstract
Objective To investigate the predictive value of preoperative platelet parameters for prognosis in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC).Method One hundred and twenty-five patients with EOC and 110 patients with benign ovarian tumor who underwent radical surgery in The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2021 to June 2022 were enrolled for the study and divided into observation group and control group respectively.The platelet parameters including platelet count(PLT),mean platelet volume(MPV),plateletcrit(PCT)and platelet distribution width(PDW)within 3 days before surgery were compared between the two groups,and the platelet parameters of patients with different clinical and pathological characteristics in observation group were analyzed.Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to investigate the independent risk factors of postoperative recurrence in observation group.Result The PLT,MPV,PCT and PDW in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(all P＜0.05).Preoperative PLT,MPV and PDW of patients with low differentiation,International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO)stage Ⅲ,combined lymph node metastasis and recurrence in observation group were significantly higher than those of patients with medium to high differentiation,FIGO stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ,no lymph node metastasis and no recurrence(all P＜0.05).Preoperative PDW of patients with the blood CA125 level≥200 U/ml,tumor diameter≥9 cm,FIGO stage Ⅱ in observation group were significantly higher than those of patients with blood CA125 level＜200 U/ml,tumor diameter＜9 cm and FIGO stage Ⅰ(all P＜0.05).Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression model anal-ysis showed that low differentiation,TNM stage Ⅲ and PDW were the independent risk factors for postoperative recurrence in the observation group(all P＜0.05).Conclusion Preoperative platelet parameters in patients with EOC are related to tissue differentiation,FIGO stage,lymph node metastasis and postoperative recurrence,and PDW is an independent risk factor for postoperative recurrence.关键词
