Metal Oxide Arrester and Its Impedance Transformation System for Online Voltage Measurement in Power Systems

Abstract
A zinc oxide lightning arrester and its impedance transformation system are proposed for online voltage measurement in power systems,in response to the problems existing in online voltage measure-ment.On the basis of establishing an equivalent circuit model and evaluation system,the frequency char-acteristics simulation of a linear voltage divider based on zinc oxide lightning arrester under the joint ac-tion of multiple parameters was carried out,revealing the relationship between voltage amplitude,input impedance,and the effective bandwidth of the voltage divider;Explored the impact of lightning arrester load effect on the measurement performance of voltage divider under non ideal sources.The research re-sults showed that when the voltage exceeds U1mA,it will cause voltage distortion on the primary side(high-voltage arm).If zinc oxide lightning arrester is used for conventional voltage measurement,the working voltage should be controlled below U1mA.If zinc oxide lightning arrester is used for overvoltage monitoring,due to the principle of coordination,the measurement is not affected by load effect.Specific parameter guidance is provided for the impedance transformation system for measuring power frequency,operating impulse,and lightning impulse voltages,providing useful references for the design and develop-ment,testing characterization,and standard formulation of nonlinear resistance voltage dividers.关键词
