Abstract
In view of long distance of horizontal transport at the bridge-approach container terminals,key technologies for the layout of automated yards were studied on the basis of phase IV project at Taicang Harbor of Suzhou Port,which was the first and largest automated terminal in the Yangtze River basin.Subject to an pattern being parallel to the quay line,the traffic organization efficiency was enhanced through the optimization of horizontal transport routes in the yard.As a pioneer who firstly adopted 40 m gauge double-cantilever automated rail-mounted cranes in large quantities in China,the port authority built an operation system that physically separated the trucks in the port from that out of the port.In addition,the simulation modeling was employed to determine the optimal equipment parameters.The yard capacity and utilization ratio were maximized subject to the efficiency being guaranteed.This research may serve as a technical reference for the automated upgrading of the bridge-approach terminals in the Yangtze River basin.关键词
