Abstract

Higher procedure demand for the piled wharf leads to a process of piling before dredging construction.Based on the above construction process,an equilibrium state between the pile foundation and original ground occurs.With the excavation of bank slope,the constraints on the excavated side are released,which breaks the existing equilibrium,and then the equilibrium re-establishment generates the internal force acting on the pile foundation.Thus the numerical simulation method was used to analyze the change law of internal forces acting on the piled pier wharf built on the soft clay layer during the post-dredging process,especially the change law of structure internal force under the conditions of layered dredging and rear dredging,the change of structure stress subject to the soil body reduction and the adjusted platform stiffness.The research results indicated that the displacement of pile force,bending moment,and platform were not positively correlated with the change in the dredging depth.The maximum value of pile load was reached while 2/3 dredging volume was completed.The added load generated by the post-dredging was extremely unfavorable to the structure stress,and the bending moment value increased at an average rate of 23%.This researches filled a gap in the stress analysis of piled pier structure under the post-dredging conditions,which provided new ideas for similar engineering designs in the future.
