Design and experiment of dust hood device for double grain cleaner

Abstract
The current double grain cleaner meets the requirements for primary cleaning in the seed processing workflow.However,dust is generated during the screening process of the double grain cleaner machine,necessitating the installa-tion of a dust collection system in the seed processing workshop.This study designed a dust collection hood device for the double grain cleaner machine and analyzed its dust removal principles.Using CFD simulation methods,the internal flow field of the dust collection hood for the double grain cleaner was analyzed.Results include the cross-sectional wind speed distribution within the hood,the wind speed distribution at the inlet,and the internal wind speed distribution:the maximum wind speed at the inlet is 6.68 m/s,and the maximum internal wind speed is 17.5 m/s.The wind speed over a large area at the inlet exceeds the terminal velocity of dust particles,ensuring effective dust capture.Verification tests on the inlet air velocity of the dust collector hood revealed an outlet velocity of 5.82 m/s.The external TSP value meas-ured at 175 μg/m3 remained below national standards.These findings provide a theoretical foundation for advancing eco-friendly seed processing technologies.关键词
