摘要

Abstract

[Objective]Functional NAM-B1 gene promotes nutrient remobilisation from stem and leaves to grains during senescence process,and is an important target gene for developing high protein,high iron(Fe)and zinc(Zn),and early maturing wheat varieties.However,whether the functional NAM-B1 gene has been included into Chinese varieties is still unknown.[Method]The NAM-B1 gene and its re-lation with grain-filling duration in the early maturing and high-yielding wheat variety Shumai 1963 was characterized through gene sequencing and grain filling rate determination.[Result]Shumai 1963 car-ries the functional NAM-B1 gene,which was associated with a high grain-filling rate.Meanwhile,both the NAM-A1 and NAM-D1 loci in Shumai 1963 are also functional allele types,namely NAM-A1a and NAM-D1 Hap1,respectively.[Conclusion]Carrying three functional NAM-1 homologous loci may be an important genetic basis for the high grain filling rate and shortened grain filling duration of Shumai 1963,thus achieving early maturity.The functional NAM-B1 gene can be used for the developing of early maturing and high-yielding wheat varieties.Shumai 1963 is a bridge parent for early maturing and high-yielding wheat breeding via the NAM-1 gene.
