Effect of Restricted Feeding of Vitamin A on Lipid Metabolism in Yanbian Yellow Cattle Based on Fecal Metabolomics
摘要
Abstract
This experiment investigated the variation characteristics of fecal metabolites in Yanbian Yellow Cattle under graded dietary vitamin A restriction, explored the mechanism by which dietary vitamin A restriction affects fat deposition in beef cattle, and provided a theoretical basis for the practical production of high-quality and high-grade beef.Nine Yanbian Yellow Cattle were selected as experimental subjects, and a feeding model with graded dietary vitamin A dosages was established. The trial was divided into one con-trol group(CON group)and two experimental groups(LVA group:low vitamin A group;NVA group:no vitamin A group),with three heads per group. The dietary vitamin A content in the CON group was 100%of the feeding standard, that in the LVA group was 50%of the standard, and no vitamin A was supplemented in the NVA group. The results showed that 71 differentially expressed metabolites(DEMs)were screened out in the LVA group vs.CON group, among which 11-dehydro-thromboxane B2,Prostaglandin A2 and Prostacyclin I2 were significantly down-regulated(P<0.05),and these metabolites were mainly enriched in adipogenesis-related pathways such as arachidonic acid(AA)metabo-lism.A total of 98 DEMs were identified in the NVA group vs.CON group, where butyric acid,D-fructose,D-glucose-6-phosphate(G6P)and other metabolites were significantly up-regulated(P<0.05),and the enrichment pathways included AA metabolism, carbohydrate digestion and absorption, starch and sucrose metabolism and other adipogenesis-related pathways. In the LVA group vs.NVA group,37 DEMs were screened out, with butyric acid,D-fructose and other metabolites significantly down-regulated(P<0.05),and the metabolites were enriched in adipogenesis-related pathways such as carbohydrate digestion and absorption. In conclusion, dietary vitamin A restriction alters the relative content of adipogenesis-related metabolites in Yanbian Yellow Cattle, and further regulates metabolic pathways to affect adipogenic differen-tiation.This study clarifies the underlying mechanism of fat deposition in beef cattle by revealing the effects of dietary vitamin A restriction on fecal metabolic profiles.关键词
