Survey of pests and natural enemies in'Baiqi Allium tuberosum'in Puding county of Guizhou province

Abstract
[Objective]The species composition and occurrence patterns of insect pests and natural enemies in'Baiqi Allium tuberosum'fields in Puding county of Guizhou province were investigated to provide a theoretical basis for eco-friendly pest management strategies.[Method]Systematic field surveys,yellow sticky trap sampling,and pitfall trap collections were conducted to analyze the population composi-tion,damage levels,community diversity,and seasonal dynamics of major pests and natural enemies in'Baiqi A.tuberosum'fields.[Result]A total of 22 702 small arthropod specimens were collected and identified,with Insecta as the dominant class,comprising 21 359 individuals belonging to 152 species from 62 families and 10 orders,accounting for 94.08%of the total specimens.Herbivorous pests were primarily con-centrated in families Tephritidae,Thripidae,Aphididae and Sciaridae,with Neotoxoptera formosana,Bradysia odoriphaga,and thrips identified as the main pests.Natural enemies mainly consisted of predatory groups such as coccinellids,parasitoid wasps,and lacewings,with Harmonia axyridis,Propyle a japonica,Micraspis discolor,and Aphidoletes aphidimyza as the predominant species.Pest populations exhibited notable spa-tial and temporal differences among sampling sites,with distinct dominant species and occurrence patterns.The insect species richness index in chive fields exhibited a first rising and then decreasing trend,with species diversity and evenness reaching their peaks from July to Octo-ber.N.formosana occurred persistently throughout the year,whereas B.odoriphaga showed pronounced outbreaks during November and De-cember.[Conclusion]'Baiqi Jiuhuang'fields in Puding county host a diverse community of insect pests and natural enemies.N.formosana and B.odoriphaga are identified as the major pests,showing distinct patterns of persistent and seasonal outbreaks,respectively.These findings offer a scientific foundation for pest monitoring and precise ecological management strategies for'Baiqi A.tuberosum'production.关键词
