Abstract
To further search for clues of diamond primary deposits in the study area,786 samples were collected from the Mengyin Daigu-Yiyuan Xili region using the stream natural heavy mineral sampling method.The separated indicator minerals for diamonds were diverse and abundant,including three grains of sodium-magnesium-iron almandine,four grains of low-chrome to chrome diopside,and two grains of medium-chrome to chromite,all of which indicate the potential presence of kimberlite bodies,even diamond-bearing kimberlite bodies,in the area.The transport distance of the indicator minerals was relatively short,suggesting proximal sedimentation.It is predicted that kimberlite bodies or mineralized kimberlite may exist in the area north of Yangbaoquan-Bamudi-Hongzuoya and near Liuzhiyu.The research findings provide direction and highlight key targets for further diamond exploration in the region.关键词
