Domestic Cold Violence and Adolescent Self-concealment and Non-suicidal Self-injury:the Deteriorating Effect of Rejection Sensitivity

Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between domestic cold violence,self-concealment,and non-suicidal self-injury,as well as its boundary conditions(the moderating role of rejection sensitivity).Methods:A total of 452 adoles-cents were assessed using the domestic cold violence questionnaire,self-concealment questionnaire,rejection sensitivity questionnaire,and non-suicidal self-injury behavior scale.Results:①There was a significant positive correlation between each pair of domestic cold violence,self-concealment,and non-suicidal self-injury;②Domestic cold violence could di-rectly predict adolescents' non-suicidal self-injury,and this direct path could be mediated by self-concealment;③The re-lationship between domestic cold violence and adolescent self-concealment was moderated by rejection sensitivity.Specifi-cally,the mediating effect of self-concealment was stronger for those with higher rejection sensitivity.Conclusion:Self-concealment provided an important perspective to reveal the intrinsic mechanism of how domestic cold violence leads to non-suicidal self-injury among adolescents.Rejection sensitivity serves as a"booster"that exacerbates adolescents' self-concealment,and consequently leads to more severe non-suicidal self-injury behavior problems resulting from domestic cold violence.关键词
