Abstract
With the popularization of digital technology and the reduction of storage costs, digital hoarding,as an emerg-ing behavioral issue, has attracted increasing attention. This paper systematically reviews relevant domestic and foreign lit-eratures in recent years, focusing on its conceptual definition, assessment tools, influencing factors, and correlation with mental health. The results show that digital hoarding is characterized by excessive acquisition, difficulty in discarding, and cluttered accumulation of digital content, and it is essentially different from traditional physical hoarding in terms of spatial characteristics and acquisition methods, thus requiring clear distinction from functional digital collection. Its formation is the result of the interaction of multiple factors, including cognitive factors(decision fatigue, executive function deficits,cog-nitive failures, cognitive biases),emotional factors(fear of missing out, emotional attachment, emotional regulation difficul-ties,alexithymia),personality factors(neuroticism, maladaptive perfectionism,obsessive-compulsive traits, mindfulness traits, procrastination behavior),as well asearly experiences and technical environments.Digital hoarding has a significant positive correlation with mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, cognitive impairment, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD).Current research has initially constructed a theoretical and assessment framework, but there are still limitations including insufficient sample representativeness(mainly focusing on young groups),over-reliance on a single research method(high proportion of cross-sectional surveys),and lack of intervention studies. Therefore, future research should expand the research objects, innovate research methods, develop targeted inter-vention programs, and refine its dedicated theoretical system to provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and intervention.关键词
