Abstract

Estuarine and coastal levees are susceptible to catastrophic failures triggered by compound hazard-inducing factors.Against this background,this study establishes a flood-surge-levee fluid-structure interaction dynamic model for estuarine and coast al zones,building on investigations into the stability characteristics of such levees.The model accounts for the combined impacts of environmental conditions including floods and storm surges,and is developed via multiphase flow theory coupled with hydrodynamic-sediment numerical simulation techniques,taking typical levee engineering structures as research objects.On this basis,this paper analyzes the catastrophic response characteristics of various types of levee structures under the action of compound hazard-inducing factors,as well as the flow field distribution,dynamic responses of different structural components,and coastal flood-storm surge im pact pressures throughout the fluid-structure interaction process.The findings of this research provide a theoretical reference for analyzing the disaster response characteristics of estuarine and coastal levees subjected to compound hazard-inducing factors,and also shed light on the construction of disaster evaluation index systems and early warning systems for hazards associated with estuarine and coastal levees.
