Calculation Model for Slab-wall Composite Solidified Soil Foundations Based on Load Transfer Method

Abstract
Soft soil solidification is a common method for treating problematic coastal foundations.However,it cannot improve deep soft soils.To meet engineering requirements,the solidification depth of slab-type solidified foundations is continually increased,which also raises the economic costs of projects.For the solidification treatment of deep and thick soft soil layers,a slab-wall composite so-lidified soil foundation design method was proposed.This foundation consisted of a shallow solidified slab,deep solidified walls,inter-wall soft soil,and underlying soft soil layers.Based on the load trans-fer method for composite foundations,the solidified slab,solidified walls,inter-wall soft soil,and un-derlying soft soil layers were treated as an integrated system.A theoretical calculation model for the slab-wall composite solidified soil foundation,considering the continuity of stress and settlement defor-mation,was established.Relevant parameter tests and model tests on the slab-wall composite solidi-fied soil foundation were conducted.The calculation results from the theoretical model were obtained using spreadsheets and compared with the experimental results,which verified the rationality and accu-racy of the established theoretical calculation method.Furthermore,the influence patterns of the solidi-fier dosage and curing period on the slab-wall composite solidified soil foundation were obtained.The results indicated that an increase in the solidifier dosage and curing period led to an increase in the physical and mechanical parameters and the interfacial shear stress of the solidified soil.Additionally,it increased the ultimate bearing capacity of the slab-wall composite solidified soil foundation model.When the solidifier dosage was 4.5%and the curing period was 7 days,the calculated ultimate bearing capacity reached a maximum of 20.51 kPa.This demonstrates that the proposed slab-wall composite solidified soil foundation design method can enhance foundation bearing capacity.While meeting engi-neering requirements,the proposed method reduces costs and is environmentally friendly,demonstrat-ing good prospects for engineering application.关键词
