Fabrication and thermal management application of cyclodex-trin-based supramolecular aerogel fibers with intrinsic phase change energy-storage ability

Abstract
Aerogel fibers have recently attracted increasing attention due to their ultralow density,low thermal conductiv-ity,high porosity,and high specific surface area,making them promising for thermal insulation and smart textile applica-tions.However,conventional fabrication relies on sol-gel spinning,which requires stringent control over coagulation conditions and precursor properties.An alternative direct-spinning strategy is developed using an injectable supramolecu-lar hydrogel.The hydrogel is constructed via the host-guest interaction between α-cyclodextrin and poly(ethylene gly-col),forming a three-dimensional network with excellent injectability and shear responsiveness,suitable for fiber shap-ing and extrusion-based three-dimensional printing.After tert-butanol solvent exchange and freeze drying,aerogel fibers with a low density of 0.068 g/cm3 and a high porosity of 71.2%are obtained.The presence of crystalline poly(ethylene glycol)within the fiber framework endows the material with intrinsic phase-change energy-storage capability,achieving a latent heat of 57.09 J/g.Presents a new strategy for the fabrication of aerogel fibers,in which the inherent injectability of the precursor markedly streamlines the fabrication process,offering materials with built-in thermal regulation func-tionality and strong potential for wearable thermal management applications.关键词
