摘要
Abstract
Golden snub-nosed monkey is designated as a globally endangered species and a National Level I Protected Animal in China, serving as a flagship species for biodiversity conservation. The Qinling population of the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey(Rhinopithecus roxellana)is endemic to this mountain range.Subsequently,it can be referred to as R.roxellana.Foping County, situated in the hinterland of the Qinling Mountains, provides an ideal habitat for the R.roxellana.,supporting a wild population of about 1000 individuals.Despite a documented population increase of the R.roxellana.in the Qinling Mountains owing to concerted conservation measures, ongoing habitat degradation and environmental pollution continue to compromise its habitat quality and long-term viability. This study takes the Foping Conservation Breeding Research Base for the R roxellana.in Qinling Mountains as a case study.Guided by Niche Theory and Recreational Space Theory,we analyze its site conditions and accordingly divide it into four functional zones:Scientific Research&Administration,Public Science Education,Valley Exploration, and Conservation Breeding.Planning schemes and management strategies are proposed for each zone:1)To underpin population conservation with scientific research and technical expertise;2)To foster public awareness of the monkey's ecological and cultural significance through education;3)To catalyze local cultural tourism growth by developing sustainable eco-tourism.The research aims to foster a tripartite benefit for species conservation, public outreach, and local socio-economic growth via the base's development, while providing a referential framework for analogous projects.关键词
