摘要
Abstract
High myopia is a significant cause of irreversible visual impairment worldwide.In addition to retinal pa-thologies,it can independently lead to high myopic optic neuropathy(HMON).The pathological mechanisms underlying visual field defects,optic disc alterations,and peripapillary structural changes in HMON differ markedly from those in pri-mary open-angle glaucoma(OAG),thereby complicating the diagnosis of high myopia coexisting with OAG.Conse-quently,it is essential to clarify the definition of HMON,its characteristic visual field manifestations,imaging features of the optic disc and peripapillary area,key points for differential diagnosis from OAG,as well as the management challenges associated with high myopia accompanied by ocular hypertension.关键词
