Abstract

Aiming at the leakage problem of large vertical mixed flow pump,combined with its specific working conditions,a split type magnetic fluid sealing device was designed for easy disassembly and installation,and the magnetic field simulation of the sealing device was carried out by using the finite element analysis software.Training samples were designed using latin hypercube sampling across the range of critical structural parameters.BP neural networks and genetic algorithms(GA)were utilized to optimize these parameters.An experimental rig was constructed to conduct pressure endurance tests on the optimized seal device.Results indicate optimal performance at a sealing gap of 0.5 mm,pole tooth width of 1.0 mm,pole tooth slot width of 4.95 mm,and pole tooth height of 4.85 mm,achieving a pressure resistance value of 0.871 MPa.This represents a 99.31%improvement over the pre-optimization value of 0.437 MPa.At a test pressure of 0.2 MPa,the leakage rate of the sealing device was below the required 0.1 m3/h,satisfying the airtightness test criteria.Its sealing performance has thus met the technical requirements.This research provides a reference for addressing sealing challenges in large vertical mixed flow pumps.
