Autumn-Delayed Cultivation Technology of Sanzhang Huanggong Pepper

Abstract
To address the problems of severe diseases caused by high temperature and heavy rainfall in summer and low economic benefits due to supply shortage in winter in the traditional cultivation of Sanzhang Huanggong Pepper,an autumn-delayed cultivation technology for this pepper variety was developed through years of continuous trials and exploration,in combination with the climatic characteristics of southern Hunan and the advantages of protected cultivation.By regulating the sowing date(early to mid-July),equipping with greenhouse facilities and implementing standardized management,this technology extends the harvest period to winter and achieves off-season marketing,thus solving the problems of severe disease occurrence and seasonal supply imbalance.The key technologies of autumn-delayed cultivation for Sanzhang Huanggong Pepper were systematically summarized from the aspects of environmental facilities,variety selection,seed treatment,sowing and seedling raising,field management,green prevention and control of diseases and insect pests,and postharvest handling.This study provides a reference for improving the yield and quality of Sanzhang Huanggong Pepper,promoting the industrial standardization,and realizing the high-quality and sustainable development of protected pepper cultivation.关键词
