摘要

Abstract

The prevalence of hyperuricemia has been rising annually and is increasingly observed in younger populations.This trend presents substantial challenges for the public health management of chronic non-communicable diseases.Growing evidence indi-cates that environmental pollutants play an important role in the pathogenesis of hyperuricemia.As emerging contaminants,microplas-tics and nanoplastics(MNPs)are ubiquitously distributed in the environment and can enter the human body through multiple routes,accumulating in various organs including the liver,kidneys,and brain.Moreover,MNPs have the ability to cross biological barriers,triggering inflammatory responses,oxidative stress,and cellular damage,which may lead to multi-organ toxicity.Particularly,their impact on hepatic and renal functions can disrupt metabolic homeostasis.This review summarizes current knowledge regarding the potential link between MNPs exposure and dysregulated uric acid metabolism.It further explores the mechanisms through which MNPs may interfere with uric acid production and excretion,including cytotoxicity,induction of oxidative stress and inflammatory activation,disruption of gut microbiota,aberrations in purine metabolism,and transport of adsorbed toxic compounds.The aim is to provide new perspectives for the safety risk assessment of MNPs.
