A New Cultivar of Dendrocalamus brandisii:'Yuehuatian 1'
摘要
Abstract
Dendrocalamus brandisii'Yuehuatian 1'is a new bamboo cultivar developed from a variant plant of D.brandisii.The key distinguishing characters of'Yuehuatian 1'compared to the typical D.brandisii are its dark yellow culm internodes with green longitudinal stripes,and culm leaf sheaths and foliage leaf blades with yellowish-white stripes,which show high ornamental value.It was discovered in 2023 near Huanglong mountain in Nanping town,Simao district,Pu'er city,Yunnan province.Over the past three years,the newly sprouted bamboos from these introduced plants have consistently exhibited stable and uniform mutant characteristics.关键词
