Feasibility Evaluation Method of Variable Speed Pumped Storage Transformation Based on Improved AHP-TOPSIS

Abstract
Pumped storage,as a mature commercial energy storage technology,is an effective way to solve the problem of new energy consumption.Limited by different regional conditions,the traditional fixed speed pumped storage has highlighted the problems of poor water head adaptability and insufficient flexible adjustment ability,which makes the variable speed pumped storage units the best choice for future pumped storage power stations.However,how to accurately evaluate the comprehensive economic,social and environmental benefits of variable speed transformation of existing units is an urgent problem to be solved.This paper uses the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)-technique for order preference by similarity to the ideal solution(TOPSIS),a feasibility evaluation method for variable speed pumped storage transformation is proposed.The evaluation index system of reconstruction feasibility considering comprehensive benefit is established from three aspects:economic benefit,social benefit and environmental benefit.Further,the weight method of AHP is improved,and combined with TOPSIS,the project of variable speed pumped storage is scored,and the comprehensive score of its reconstruction feasibility is obtained.The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method are verified by the case analysis of the transformation of three variable speed pumped storage power stations in a certain area.The method proposed in this paper has a certain engineering practical significance for the development of variable speed pumped storage transformation,and provides a theoretical basis for the feasibility evaluation of variable speed pumped storage transformation scheme.关键词
