Development of an Expert Consensus on TCM Diagnosis and Treatment of Different Clinical Phenotypes of COPD in Hubei Province using the Delphi method

Abstract
Objective To formulate an expert consensus on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)diagnosis and treatment for different clinical phenotypes of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)based on the integration of disease and syndrome patterns in Hubei Province.Methods Domestic and international literature regarding clinical phenotypes of COPD,TCM syndrome patterns,and TCM treatment was retrieved and analyzed.A Delphi-based expert questionnaire was designed and distributed via"Wenjuanxing"to rel-evant experts across different regions of Hubei Province for two rounds.The collected questionnaires were retrieved,statistically ana-lyzed,and summarized to form the preliminary expert consensus.Results Following the two survey rounds,an expert consensus was for-mulated,encompassing the following aspects:classification of clinical phenotypes and complications of COPD,corresponding TCM syn-drome patterns,recommended herbal formulas,and TCM pulmonary rehabilitation.Conclusion Through the Delphi method expert survey combined with a literature review,the Expert Consensus on TCM Diagnosis and Treatment of Different Clinical Phenotypes of COPD in Hubei Province has been developed,which provides a basis for integrated Western and TCM diagnosis and treatment.关键词
