Inheritance and innovation of"the liver governing growth and development"theory in TCM
摘要
Abstract
Although the theoretical understanding of"the liver governing growth and development"theory was first documented in the Yellow Emperor's Canon of Medicine(黄帝内经),its theoretical value has been insufficiently emphasized in later generations,with unclear concepts,inadequate and non-standardized clinical practices,as well as incomplete and superficial fundamental research,which has hindered the development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).This paper inherits the core ideas related to"the liver gov-erning growth and development"from the Yellow Emperor's Canon of Medicine,clarifies its connotation and denotation,and distin-guishes the differences and connections between"the liver governing growth and development","the liver governing ascending and dis-persing",and"the liver governing dredging and discharging".It summarizes the role and mechanisms of the liver system in overseeing the structural and functional system for the generation,development,and regenerative repair of liver-centered viscera and tissues,as well as the definition,connotation,and denotation of how TCM prevents and treats liver-centered viscera and tissue disorders by regulat-ing imbalances in growth,development,and regenerative repair.The paper highlights the innovative research on"the liver governing growth and development"guiding TCM in regulating liver regeneration and repair,innovative research on TCM regulating immune cell regeneration and repair to prevent and treat inadequate immune reconstitution in AIDS patients,innovative research on TCM in growth and development,innovative research on TCM regarding the occurrence,development,recurrence,and metastasis of liver cancer,inno-vative research on TCM influencing the liver regeneration microenvironment to prevent and treat the occurrence,development,recur-rence,and metastasis of liver cancer,and innovative research on TCM improving cachexia in cancer patients.It identifies the existing problems and directions for further research,promoting the inheritance and innovation of the theory of"the liver governing generation and development",thereby advancing the development of TCM.关键词
