Abstract

Cocoyl glutamate triethanolamine salt(CT-130)and potassium cocoyl glycinate(YCK-D)were blended under weakly acidic conditions to investigate their formulation compatibility and performance.The blending ratios and corresponding pH values were systematically adjusted to evaluate foaming properties,mildness,cleansing performance,and low-temperature transparency across different pH ranges.The results demonstrated that both formulation ratio and pH had significant effects on foam performance and transparency.Based on the optimized binary surfactant system,the effects of incorporating different amphoteric surfactants were further investigated.The addition of amphoteric surfactants effectively expanded the transparency window and improved foam height,mildness,and cleansing performance.Specifically,blending with sodium cocoyl zwitteryl acetate(AMC)resulted in a favorable transparency range,whereas incorporation of 2-hydroxy-2-(decyloxy)ethyl 2-hydroxypropanoate(20HD)provided superior cleansing performance.Dynamic foam analysis further revealed that formulations containing 20HD(lauryl hydroxysultaine)in combination with cocamidopropyl betaine(CAB)exhibited optimal foam stability over a wide pH range.Overall,the results indicate that rational blending of amino acid-based surfactants with suitable amphoteric surfactants under weakly acidic conditions can significantly enhance the comprehensive performance of mild cleansing formulations.
