Effects of Fractal Dimensions and Inclination Angles of Dual Joints on Ultrasonic Wave Velocity
摘要
Abstract
Based on ultrasonic testing of jointed rock,the influence of the coupling effect of dual joints on ultrasonic wave velocity was investigated,and a functional relationship between ultrasonic wave velocity and the inclination angles of the dual joints was established.A trend surface describing the relationship between wave velocity and the fractal dimensions of the dual joints was constructed.The study demonstrates that:(1)As the dimension of Joint 1 and Joint 2 increases,the ultrasonic wave velocity decreases,indicating that joint roughness significantly impedes ultrasonic wave propagation.The influence of a single joint dimension on wave velocity is similar to the coupled effect of dual joint dimensions.The dual joint dimensions exhibit a primary-secondary influence on wave velocity,where the joint that interacts with the ultrasonic wave first plays a dominant role in wave velocity reduction,exerting a more pronounced effect.(2)As the inclination angles of Joint 1 and Joint 2 increase,the ultrasonic wave velocity decreases nonlinearly,and the dual joints exhibit a coupled effect on wave velocity.This suggests that the wave velocity is determined by the larger of the dual joint inclination angles rather than the sum of the dual inclination angles.关键词
