Abstract
Roucongrong(Cistanches Herba)is a traditional,rare,and precious tonic Chinese medicine in China.Modern research has demonstrated that it is rich in various bioactive compounds,including phenylethanoid glycosides(such as echinacoside and acteoside),iridoids,and polysaccharides,exhibiting a wide range of pharmacological activities in immunoregulation,neuroprotection,cardioprotection,and osteoporosis improvement.Roucongrong(Cistanches Herba)(desert variety)has been included in China's list of food-medicine homology,holding significant development potential.Currently,its industrial sector has surpassed a total scale of 20 billion RMB.Roucongrong(Cistanches Herba)has been listed in the directory of food-medicinal homology herbs,with great development potential,the total scale of the industry has already exceeded 20 billion RMB.This paper systematically reviews the bioactive constituents of Roucongrong(Cistanches Herba),provides an in-depth analysis of its functional properties,comprehensively explores the current applications of Roucongrong(Cistanches Herba)in food development,and offers insights and prospects for its future utilization in this field.The aim is to provide theoretical references and practical evidence for the further advancement of related industries.关键词
