Abstract

The fitting of material ductile‐to‐brittle transition curves often relies on traditional algorithms,which suffer from issues such as inconsistent fitting models and insufficient consideration of the distribution characteristics of experimental data.This leads to fitting results that are easily influenced by human factors,unreasonable curve shapes,and difficulty in objectively reflecting material performance.To address this problem,a fitting algorithm based on weighted least squares for series temperature charpy impact test data is proposed.This method constructs a weight function through the first derivative of the fitting function and dynamically allocates fitting weights combined with the variance of the original data,obtaining fitting parameters through iterative optimization.The study compares fitting using the hyperbolic tangent function and the Logistic function.The results show that weighted fitting can effectively increase the weight of data in the upper and lower shelf regions,reduce the influence of scattered data in the transition region,make the fitted curve more consistent with the physical laws of material ductile‐to‐brittle transition,and significantly improve unreasonable phenomena such as negative parameter values in the lower shelf.This research provides a more reliable methodological reference for the data processing of step cooling tests and material degradation assessment in hydrotreating reactors.
