重庆市7~14岁健康学龄儿童生物声学脂肪分数参考值的横断面调查
A cross-sectional survey on the establishment of reference values of ultrasound-derived fat fraction in healthy children aged 7 to 14 years in Chongqing,China

Abstract
Background Ultrasound-derived fat fraction(UDFF)is an emerging ultrasound quantitative analysis technology,but currently there is a lack of reference value range for healthy children.Objective To establish reference values of UDFF in healthy children aged 7 to 14 years in Chongqing,providing diagnostic reference data for the prevention and management of pediatric nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Design Cross-sectional survey.Methods Data were collected between March 2023 and February 2024 from healthy school-aged children undergoing physical examinations at a primary and secondary school in Chongqing.The dataset included medical history,physical examination parameters,abdominal ultrasound findings,and UDFF values.Reference ranges for UDFF were established using the percentile method.Correlation analyses were performed to examine relationships between UDFF and gender,age,anthropometric measurements,as well as measurement depth.Main Outcome Measures UDFF values range for healthy children aged 7 to 14 years.Results A total of 810 healthy children aged 7 to 14 years were included in the study,with the average age was 11.24±1.89 years.The median UDFF was 3.2%,with a range of 2.0%to 5.8%,and a 95%reference interval of 2.0%~5.2%(P2.5 to P97.5).No statistically significant gender difference was observed(P=0.06).UDFF showed a moderate positive correlation with measurement depth(r=0.59,P<0.001),weak positive correlations with waist circumference and waist-to-height ratio(r≥0.3,P<0.001),and no meaningful correlations with age,height,weight,BMI,hip circumference,and abdominal skinfold thickness(r<0.3,P<0.05).Additionally,UDFF demonstrated a high degree of consistency.Conclusion The study establishes percentile curves of UDFF in healthy children aged 7 to 14 years in Chongqing,offering an important reference for the prevention and diagnosis of hepatic steatosis in children and adolescents.关键词
