Development of a Low-dose 3D Dental Imaging Device Based on Cold Cathodes
摘要
Abstract
A low-dose 3D dental imaging system based on carbon nanotube(CNT)cold cathode multi-beam X-ray sources and a high-frame-rate intraoral detector is developed.By integrating components such as electronic control systems and a detailed design of tomographic reconstruction algorithms, the device leverages the fast-pulse,multi-angle imaging capabilities of seven-focus cold cathode X-ray tube to achieve low-dose,high-resolution,three-dimensional imaging. The system operates at an anode voltage of 70 kV and anode current of 7 mA per focal spot.By sequentially activating the seven focal spots,it captures images from multiple angles within 1 second,re-constructing them into high-resolution 3D images of dental tissues with layered display capability, providing signifi-cantly more detailed information than conventional 2D imaging. The performance evaluation demonstrates that the measured anode voltage is 69.6 kV,with an aluminum half-value layer thickness of 2.13 mm,suitable for dental di-agnosis.The device achieves a 16 lp·mm-1 line-pair resolution, and the low-contrast resolution testing clearly re-veals a 0.75 mm diameter hole, demonstrating high-definition imaging characteristics. In the three-dimensional ima-ging mode, each focal spot operates at an anode current of 7 mA,with a total imaging scanning time of approxi-mately 700 ms for all seven spots, enabling rapid imaging for clinical convenience. The air kerma-area product for a single three-dimensional imaging is 46.4 mGy·cm2,significantly lower than the radiation dose of conventional cone beam computed tomography(CBCT).The three-dimensional imaging tests observe dental cracks, indicating good clinical application value.关键词
