Abstract
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of newly diagnosed leprosy cases in Shaanxi province from 2011 to 2022,as well as the influencing factors of deformity and disability.It summarized the disease incidence patterns and explored the teratogenic factors of the disease,aiming to provide a reference for subsequent prevention and control efforts.Methods Case data from the National Leprosy Prevention and Control Management Information System(2011-2022)and demographic data from the Shaanxi Statistical Yearbook were collected to conduct statistical analysis on newly reported leprosy cases.Univariate analysis and Logistic regression analysis were employed to investigate the influencing factors of disease-related deformities.Results From 2011 to 2022,a total of 150 new cases of leprosy were identified in Shaanxi province,with a higher incidence rate in males than females.The three southern cities of Shaanxi(particularly Hanzhong city,which borders Sichuan province)were identified as high-incidence areas.Univariate analysis results indicated that gender,educational level,and latency period were associated with the formation of grade 2 deformities.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis revealed that gender and educational level were the primary factors influencing patients'deformities.Conclusion Significant progress has been made in the prevention and control of leprosy in Shaanxi province,with the overall prevalence rate remaining below the national average.However,continuous efforts are required to strengthen surveillance and enhance public awareness campaigns in rural areas.关键词
