KANG Zefeng's Clinical Experience in the Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment of Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Based on the Theory of"Pupil-Spirit Collateral Disease"
摘要
Abstract
This paper summarizes Professor KANG Zefeng's clinical experience in the syndrome differentiation and treatment of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy(NAION)based on the theory of"pupil-spirit colla-teral disease".In light of the clinical characteristics of NAION,namely decreased visual acuity,visual field defects,and optic disc edema,the condition is considered to be predominantly characterized by a deficiency in the root and ex-cess in the manifestation,with deficiency of liver blood as the fundamental pathogenesis and obstruction of the ocular collaterals as the manifest aspect.Accordingly,the general therapeutic principle of"free flow of the collaterals as the key to treatment"is proposed.Treatment strategies such as regulating qi to unblock the collaterals,activating blood to free the collaterals,and tonifying qi to nourish the collaterals are adopted.Correspondingly,modified prescriptions including Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder(丹栀逍遥散),a self-formulated empirical prescription Tongluo Huoxue Decoction(通络活血汤),and Buyang Huanwu Decoction(补阳还五汤)are flexibly applied with appropriate modifications.关键词
