摘要
Abstract
Facing the iterative challenges of global food security, climate change, and digital agricul-ture,the traditional disciplinary paradigm and linear model of agricultural universities are no longer ade-quate.Drawing on the generational evolution theory of higher education and Professor Xu Fei's concept of China's"fourth-generation university,"this study systematically reviews the developmental trajecto-ry of agricultural universities worldwide—from technology transfer, scientific research, and social serv-ice to the emerging trend of cross-disciplinary integration and ecological development—and analyzes the pioneering practices of leading international institutions like Wageningen University. It further proposes that China's future agricultural universities should embrace an ecological philosophy centered on"mis-sion orientation,cross-disciplinary integration, and value co-creation,"positioning themselves as nation-al innovation hubs that support food security, rural revitalization, and the strategy of building an agricul-tural power. From five dimensions—disciplinary architecture, talent cultivation, research paradigm,so-cial function, and governance structure—the study outlines the core features of such institutions.Final-ly,in view of China's national conditions such as the"coexistence of a large population and smallholder farming,"it puts forward a systematic implementation framework of"one core goal, three supporting systems, and five breakthrough pathways,"aiming to provide a theoretical reference and action frame-work that integrates international vision with Chinese characteristics for the reform of future agricultural higher education.关键词
