摘要

Abstract

Cobalt is considered an important strategic metal;the type and occurrence mechanism of cobalt deposits directly af-fect the efficiency of resource development.This paper provides a systematic overview of the major types of cobalt deposits in China.Based on genetic classification,these deposits can be primarily categorized into four types:magmatic Cu-Ni sulfide de-posits,sedimentary rock-hosted strata bound Cu-Co deposits,weathered lateritic Ni-Co deposits and hydrothermal or volca-nic polymetallic Co deposits.The spatial-temporal distribution patterns of cobalt deposits in China are systematically eluci-dated,along with an analysis of the occurrence modes,migration processes and enrichment mechanisms of cobalt.The Chengde Damiao iron deposit,a typical magmatic sulfide-type cobalt deposit,was used as a case study.The occurrence states of iron,titanium,phosphorus,and cobalt in the ore and the dissemination characteristics of their host minerals were systemati-cally investigated,providing a theoretical basis for the efficient utilization of cobalt resources.
