Diagnosis and Treatment of Herpes Zoster Based on the Theory of Nutrient Qi-Defensive Qi-Spirit Qi in Huangdi Neijing

Abstract
Spirit qi is the subtle substance generated by the spirit and performing spirit functions.The material basis for nutrient qi-defensive qi-spirit qi is cereal qi,clear qi.and primordial qi.Meridians are the channels through which nutrient qi-defensive qi-spirit qi circulates,mainly including blood vessels that circulate nutri-ent-defensive qi,defensive meridians that circulate defensive qi alone,and nerves that transmit spirit qi.The nourishing and defensive meridians are connected by collateral vessels.Defensive qi warming nourishes and pro-tects spirit qi,while nourishing qi moistens spirit qi,which regulates defensive qi and nutrient qi.The syndrome differentiation of defensive qi,nutrient blood,and spirit qi in exogenous diseases reflects the struggle between defensive qi and pathogenic qi at different levels.Pathogenic qi can enter the spirit qi meridian from the qi me-ridian,nourishing blood meridian,and blood meridian,and the characteristics of exogenous spirit qi meridian diseases are nerve damage and spirit qi blockage.The location of herpes zoster is mostly in the spirit qi meridian and qi meridian,and the main pathogenesis is the latent toxicity in the spirit qi meridian emerging from the qi meridian,causing nourishing qi and spirit qi blockage.The treatment should be to regulate nutrient qi and de-fensive qi,detoxify and dredge collaterals.During the prodromal phase,early stage,and late stage of the dis-ease,the main treatments are soothing the liver and relieving depression,removing dampness and clearing heat,detoxifying and alleviating pain.Self-prescribed Xiegan Jiedu Decoction and Self-prescribed Chushi Jiedu De-coction are used for treatment.For patients with transformed syndrome where pathogenic qi enters the nutrient-blood level or invades the pericardium,modified ZHAO Bingnan's Jiedu Qingying Decoction is used.In the se-quelae phase,the main treatments are promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis,dredging collateral ves-sels,and resuscitation.Self-prescribed Huoxue Jiedu Tongluo Decoction is used for treatment.关键词
