抑郁状态人群中医体质分布特征
Distribution characteristics of TCM body constitution types across depression severity levels
摘要
Abstract
Objective To characterize the distribution of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)body constitution types among individuals with depressive states of varying severity. Methods Using an online questionnaire, the Short-Form version of the Constitution in Chinese Medicine Questionnaire and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)were administered to adults aged 18 – 60 years from the general population. The correlation between TCM constitution types and the severity of depression was analyzed using Spearman's correlation coefficient. Results A total of 1,010 questionnaires were collected;297 invalid questionnaires were excluded, leaving 713 valid responsesm,162 were male and 551 were female.Among them,517(72.51%)were in a depressive state and 196(27.49%)were not depressed. In the 18–30 and 31–40 age groups, the proportion with depression was higher than the proportion without depression(P<0.05),and the proportion of women with depression was higher than that of men(P<0.05).Among those with depression, the main TCM constitution types were yangdeficiency(n=113,21.86%),qistagnation(n=109,21.08%),and balanced(n=83,16.05%).In mild and moderate depression, the common biased constitution types were yangdeficiency and qistagnation;in moderately severe and severe depression, qistagnation predominated.Correlation analysis showed that the top three TCM constitution types associated with depression severity were bloodstasis(r=0.513,P=0.015),qistagnation(r=0.504,P=0.000),and dampheat(r=0.457,P=0.003),all with positive correlations(P<0.05).Conclusion Depressive states appear more prevalent among young adults and more common in women than in men.Among individuals with depressive states,yang-deficiency and qi-stagnation were the predominant TCM constitution types. Both blood stasis and qi-stagnation showed positive associations with depression severity.Targeting biased TCM constitutions-particularly blood stasis and qi-stagnation-may aid prevention and management of depressive states.Because mild to moderate depressive states were mainly associated with yang-deficiency,early conditioning for yang-deficiency may be relevant to early prevention and treatment.关键词
