攀育2号芒在广西百色的表现及其关键栽培技术
Performance and Key Cultivation Techniques of Panyu No.2 in Baise,Guangxi

Abstract
[Objective]The Baise mango industry currently faces several critical challenges,such as limited main cultivars(Tainung No.1,Jinhuang,and Guire 82 occupy over 90%of total cul-tivation area),narrow fruit maturation time(mid-June to mid-July),and more frequent late spring cold events exacerbated due to climate change.To address these challenges,this study aimed to de-velop a new late-maturing mango cultivar with superior fruit quality,stable yield performance,and broad adaptability,thereby to provide both germplasm resources and technical support for optimiz-ing the cultivar structure and promoting the sustainable development of the mango industry in Baise.[Method]In 2016,adaptive observation trials for the mango variety Panyu No.2 were initiat-ed in the Youjiang River Valley of Baise.From 2023 to 2025,regional performance trials were con-ducted in a randomized block design with three replicates using the locally dominant cultivar Jin-huang as the control.Over three consecutive years,the botanical characteristics,phenological peri-ods,fruit quality,and yield of Panyu No.2 were systematically observed and comparatively evalu-ated.Additionally,integrated cultivation techniques were developed.[Result]Panyu No.2 demon-strated significant potential for superior quality,high yield,and late ripening in the Youjiang River Valley.Its full bloom period(early to mid-March)was 10~15 days later than that of the control,ef-fectively mitigating the risk of early spring frost damage.Its fruit quality was good.The average sin-gle fruit mass was 325.6 g for seeded fruits and 191.4 g for seedless fruits.The fruits exhibited solu-ble solid content of 20.0%,total sugar content of 14.65 g/100 g,total acid content of 0.51%,and vi-tamin C content of 7.36 mg/100 g FW.The marketable fruit rate reached 90%,and the fruit exhibit-ed a rich,sweet flavor with minimal fiber.Overall,the fruit quality of Panyu No.2 surpassed that of the local main cultivar Jinhuang which exhibited average single fruit mass of seeded fruits of 865.5 g,average single fruit mass of seedless fruits of 149.7 g,soluble solids content of 18.1%,to-tal sugar content of 13.53 g/100 g,total acid content of 0.48%,and vitamin C content of 5.29 mg/100 g FW.Under high planting density conditions(525 trees/hm2),the average yield of Panyu No.2 from 2023 to 2025 reached 10114.5 kg/hm2 with 7.5%increase compared to the control,showing no significant alternate bearing phenomenon.The average three-year seeded fruit rate in Panyu No.2 was 89.02%,significantly higher than that in the control(average 5.68%).In supporting cultivation techniques,flower regulation(removal of primary flush flowers)increased the proportion of her-maphroditic flowers to 11.72%.Coordinated water and fertilizer management,coupled with integrat-ed green pest control,significantly reduced disease incidence.These techniques,combined with op-timized flowering management,substantially enhanced the overall economic returns.[Conclusion]In summary,the mango variety Panyu No.2 is characterized by late maturation,high percentage of seeded fruits,consistently high yield,and superior commercial fruit quality,indicating a strong market competitive power.This variety is suitable for promotion in the Youjiang River Valley of Baise,which could effectively diversify the current cultivar structure dominated by late-ripening va-rieties such as Jinhuang,extend the fresh fruit supply period,and meet consumer demand for di-verse mango flavors.关键词
