摘要

Abstract

Faba bean(Vicia faba L.)occupies an important position in global agricultural production as a versatile crop serving as food,vegetable,fodder,and green manure.Chocolate spot disease is one of the main diseases affecting the yield and quality of faba beans.This disease,primarily caused by Botrytis fabae,B.cinerea,and B.fabiopsis,can lead to total crop failure in severe cases.This study summarizes the progress of research on faba bean chocolate spot disease aiming to provide a scientific basis for effective manage-ment and control of this disease.It reviewes the disease symptoms,pathogenic factors and epidemic patterns,pathogen types,genetic diversity of pathogens,and control measures in faba bean chocolate spot disease.It identifies the main pathogen species and their dis-tinct characteristics,elaborates on the symptoms and epidemic characteristics of the disease,and analyzes the advantages,limitations,and effectiveness of agricultural,chemical,and biological control practices.It also highlights that current control measures are limited by environmental conditions and pathogen resistance.Future research should focus on exploring disease-resistant germplasm resourc-es,applying molecular breeding techniques,and constructing a green and efficient integrated prevention and control system to provide theoretical and technical support for the sustainable management of faba bean chocolate spot disease.
