Abstract
Professor Nan Zheng has gradually developed a unique academic thought centered on"toxin damaging collaterals"in the diagnosis and treatment of Xiaoke Zhoubi(diabetic peripheral neuropathy,DPN).He holds that this disease is characterized by"deficiency in body resistance and excess in manifestations":Its root cause lies in qi-yin deficiency,while its superficial manifestations result from the interaction and accumulation of blood stasis,phlegm,turbidity,and toxin,which further impair the collaterals of the limbs.Consequently,he innovatively proposes the new disease name"Xiaoke Zhoubi"and establishes the therapeutic principle of"replenishing qi and nourishing yin,detoxifying and unblocking collaterals".He also formulates the basic formula"Xiaoke Zhoubi An Decoction"(Xiaoke Zhoubi Relieving Decoction),emphasizing the combination of internal and external treatment,integration of disease and syndrome differentiation,and syndrome-based modification of the formula in clinical practice.This paper elaborates in detail on his syndrome differentiation types,medication characteristics,and non-pharmacological therapies,fully reflecting his unique academic style in diagnosing and treating DPN based on the theory of"toxin damaging collaterals".It is expected that the paper provides an important theoretical basis and clinical guiding ideology for the treatment of Xiaoke Zhoubi with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).关键词
