摘要

Abstract

A combined treatment process of chemical precipitation and Fe/Cu-H2O2 was studied to address the problems of long treatment cycle, excessive chemical oxygen demand(COD),and high cost of traditional Fe/Cu bimetallic catalysts for citric acid wastewater.By controlling the copper plating conditions,a low copper loading and high activity Fe/Cu bimetallic catalyst was prepared, and the process conditions for treating citric acid wastewater with Fe/Cu-H2O2 were optimized using response surface methodology. The results show that after 0.5 h of CaO precipitation treatment, the COD mass concentration of the wastewater decreased from 20 000 mg/L to 383 mg/L.Under the conditions of H2O2 addition of 2.1 mL/L,Fe/Cu addition of 7.4 g/L,initial reaction pH of 2.5,and reaction time of 2.2 h,the response surface methodology predicted a COD removal rate of 95%for the effluent after CaO precipitation, with a deviation of only 1%from the measured value. This combined process reduces the COD mass concentration of the wastewater to 22 mg/L within 3.5 h,meeting the Grade A standard of the"Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants"GB18918-2002.The research has confirmed that the combined process of chemical precipitation and Fe/Cu-H2O2 is an efficient and low-cost method for treatment of citric acid wastewater.
