基于外损内伤理论探讨新安医家吴澄论治咳嗽特色及用药规律
The Characteristics and Medication Patterns of Cough Treatment by Wu Cheng,a Medical Expert from Xin'an Based on the Theory of External Damage and Internal injury

Abstract
Wu Cheng was a renowned physician of the Xin'an Medical School in the Qing Dynasty.With his superb medical skills and noble medical ethics,he devoted himself to studying the experiences of masters such as Zhang Zhongjing,Liu Hejian,and Zhang Jingyue in treating deficiency and damage diseases,and creatively proposed the theory of"external damage leading to deficiency"for deficiency and damage.Based on the theory of external damage and internal injury,Wu Cheng classified coughing into exogenous cough,internal injury cough and exogenous damage cough.For external cough,the six external pathogenic factors,and excessive pathogenic factors,the treatment for heat syndrome mainly focuses on cooling,with prescriptions such as Huanglian Jiedu Decoction and Renshen Baihu Decoction selected.For cold syndrome,the treatment mainly emphasizes pungent and warm flavors,with prescriptions such as Lu'an Decoction and Mahuang Decoction chosen.Internal injury cough mainly affects the lungs and kidneys,with insufficient vital energy.The treatment should focus on strengthening water and tonifying Yang.Selected prescriptions include Siyin Decoction,Jiajian Yiyin Decoction,Yougui Pills,and Dabuyuan Decoction,etc.For external damage cough,there is an excess of pathogenic factors and a deficiency of healthy ones.The treatment should focus on two methods:liberation and tonification.Selected prescriptions include Chai Chen Jie Tuo Decoction,Chai Ling Jie Tuo Decoction,Zhu Wei Nei Tuo SAN,and Yi Ying Nei Tuo SAN.By applying the method of data mining,91 prescriptions related to Wu Cheng's cough treatment were collected from"Buju Ji".The medication patterns were investigated through high-frequency analysis of traditional Chinese medicine and drug pairs,association rule analysis,and cluster analysis.The top 5 drugs in terms of frequency are licorice,ginseng,ginger,poria,and pinellia.The commonly used drugs mainly consist of tonics for deficiency,drugs for relieving the exterior,and drugs for resolving phlegm,stopping cough and relieving asthma.Association rule analysis shows that there is a high degree of support and confidence among"licorice-ginger"and"licorice-Atractylodes-ginseng".The complex network graph indicates that licorice,ginseng,pinellia ternata,dried tangerine peel,poria cocos,raw rehmannia,and ginger are closely related.Cluster analysis yielded six types of drug combinations.Factor analysis yielded 11 common factors.Wu Cheng attached great importance to the role of pathogenic factors such as phlegm and fluid retention,and the six exogenous pathogenic factors in the pathogenesis of cough.He also noticed that insufficiency of essence and qi was the root cause of persistent cough that was difficult to cure.In treatment,he took tonifying and relieving tonifying as the fundamental method and independently created the Six Prescriptions for relieving tonifying and the Five prescriptions for tonifying.关键词
