摘要

Abstract

Objective By using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)to determine the trace element content of synthetic cinnabar and natural cinnabar from four different areas,provide scientific basis for identifying synthetic cinnabar and natural cinnabar and their potential use in medicine.Methods The trace element content of 45 samples was determined using ICP-MS method,combined with stepwise discriminant analysis(SWDA)and principal component analysis(PCA)for analysis.Results The content of 57 trace elements in synthetic cinnabar is less than 100 μg·g-1,with higher contents of Mg,P,Fe,Se,Ca,and Ti,and the highest content of Si.The majority of elements in natural cinnabar have an average content of less than 100 μg·g-1,with high contents of Si,Ca,Ti,Cd,Sb,Pb,and the highest content of Se.When synthetic cinnabar is directly used as medicine,all kinds of trace elements will not have harmful effects on the human body.Natural cinnabar from the four production areas should be removed from Pb,As,Tl,and Cd elements before being used as medicine.Natural cinnabar and synthetic cinnabar from different origins can be accurately identified through the combination of trace elements and PCA analysis.Conclusion This method can clearly distinguish natural cinnabar from different origins,as well as distinguish between synthetic cinnabar and natural cinnabar.
