New Quality Productivity and Economic Resilience Improvement:Effect and Mechanism

Abstract
New quality productivity is a new qualitative state of productivity development.Exploring how to enhance econom-ic resilience by developing new quality productivity is of great practical significance for promoting high-quality economic develop-ment in China.This paper analyzes the specific impact of new quality productivity on economic resilience from the perspective of industrial competitiveness,product circulation efficiency and residents'consumption capacity,and then conducts an empirical test by using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2023.The research results show that the new quality productivi-ty has significantly promoted the improvement of economic resilience as a whole,and that this conclusion still holds true after a se-ries of endogeneity and robustness tests.Heterogeneity analysis results show that the promotion effect of the new quality productiv-ity on economic resilience is significant in the central and western regions.Further analysis shows that the new quality productivity can enhance economic resilience by improving industrial competitiveness,product circulation efficiency and residents'consump-tion capacity,and that the promoting effect of new quality productivity on enhancing economic resilience has a spatial spillover ef-fect.关键词
