Progress in research on the relative nutritional value and application of sorghum replacing corn in poultry feed
摘要
Abstract
With the increasing shortage of cultivated land resources in China,the feed industry and the livestock and poultry breeding sec-tors are facing with a food crisis.The scarcity of corn,which is the primary energy feed raw material,along with rising prices,has resulted in a significant increase in breeding costs.Sorghum,as the fifth largest food crop in the world,plays an important role in livestock and poultry production,and its nutritional composition is similar to that of corn,making it an effective substitute.This paper reviews the nutritional value of sorghum relative to maize,its bioavailability in poultry,and recent research progress in its application,aiming to provide a technical refer-ence for the practical use of sorghum.关键词
