Research Progress on the Way and Effect of Maize Haploid Colchicine Doubling

Abstract
Colchicine doubling method is commonly used in chemical doubling of maize haploid.There are many kinds of colchicine doubling techniques,and the doubling efficiency results are different for different concen-trations and different times.Each method has different advantages and disadvantages.This article reviews various colchicine doubling techniques in order to provide users with the best reference.Previous studies have reviewed different treatment concentrations based on individual treatment methods.This article summarizes nine common colchicine doubling methods on the market.Through comprehensive analysis,the seed soaking method is simple to operate,but the seedlings are prone to death during the culture process.The root soaking method and the bud soaking method have good doubling effect,low survival rate,high cost,and high requirements for field manage-ment.The injection method and the drip heart leaf method are simple,safe and less dosage,but the workload is large,the survival rate is high,the relative doubling rate is lower than that of root soaking and bud soaking,and the drip heart leaf method is not suitable for field application;mature embryo culture method and young embryo seedling technology can achieve large-scale operation,with strong professionalism and high requirements for oper-ating conditions and technical personnel.The spray method is easy to operate and requires professional equipment for processing,which is not conducive to large-scale application.The embryo treatment method is simple to oper-ate,and the seed setting rate after embryo treatment is significantly higher than that without embryo doubling treatment,but the survival rate is low.Breeders still need to choose the most suitable doubling technology ac-cording to the actual situation.关键词
