Analysis of the Effects of Rhizobial Inoculation on Growth Regulation and Yield of Soybean in Northern Xinjiang

Abstract
To compare the regulatory effects of inoculation with differentrhizobia on the growth and yield of the Heinong 87 cultivar of soybean(Glycine max)in northern Xinjiang.A completely randomized block design in field plots was used in this project.Seven treatments comprised:inoculation with Brady-rhizobium japonicum 5038,Bradyrhizobium sp.ZLBR,Sinorhizobium sp.ZLSR,Bradyrhizobium sp.ZLBR+Sinorhizobium sp.ZLSR,half-N fertilization(ammonium phosphate 165.0 kg/hm2,urea 105.0 kg/hm2,potassium sulfate 135.0 kg/hm2),conventional fertilization(ammonium phosphate 165.0 kg/hm2,urea 210.0 kg/hm2,potassium sulfate 135.0 kg/hm2),with no fertilization and no inocula-tion with rhizobacteria as the control.The effects of rhizobium inoculation on soybean growth,nodulation,and yield components across different growth stages were analyzed.The results showed that,compared with the control,rhizobial inoculation treatments significantly improved soybean agronomic traits,nodula-tion characteristics and yield components at different growth stages:stem diameter,root length and bio-mass at the flowering stage;pod number per plant,biomass,nodule number and nodule dry weight at the pod-setting and seed-filling stages;and pod number per plant,seed number per plant,seed weight per plant,100-seed weight and grain yield at the maturity stage(P<0.05).Among them,the 5038 inoculation treatment was optimal,increasing yield by 85.63%and 24.08%compared to the blank control and half-N fertilization treatment,respectively(P<0.05).Its yield contribution rate reached 46.13%,which was clo-sest to the 47.56%contribution of conventional fertilization.The ZLSR inoculation treatment also in-creased yield by 68.27%compared to the blank control(P<0.05)and by 12.47%compared to the half-N fertilization treatment,though this latter difference was not significant(P>0.05).Its yield contribu-tion rate was 36.77%.Principal component analysis indicated that both rhizobium inoculation and fertili-zation treatments enhanced the stability of soybean yield components,with different bacterial strain treat-ments exhibiting higher within-group clustering and clear separation between treatments.The inoculation of efficient rhizobia can effectively substitute for a portion of nitrogen fertilizer input,achieving a reduction in chemical fertilizer application and a coordinated increase in yield for soybeans.关键词
