Abstract

In recent years,due to the superposition of global warming and human activities,eutrophication of reservoirs has shown an intensifying trend.Strengthening the monitoring and early warning of reservoir water quality is of great significance for ensuring water quality safety.To comprehensively assess the ecological environment status of the Nanwan reservoir,we began by exploring the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of phytoplankton functional groups and their relationships with environmental factors,with the hope of providing scientific support for the safe management of the reservoir.Through the monitoring of phytoplankton and water quality during the flood period of the Nanwan reservoir,a total of 92 species in 76 genera from 7 phyla were identified.Based on the FG functional group classification method,15 functional groups were identified,with five dominant functional groups:MP,S1,M,Y,and J.The dominant functional groups in the reservoir exhibited a trend of evolution from MP+J to MP+S1+Y to MP+Y.The dominant functional groups were mostly species suitable for eutrophic or mixed turbid habitats,indicating that the Nanwan reservoir still had an eutrophication problem.The results of Redundancy Analysis(RDA)showed that T,C,pH,and TP were the most important environmental factors affecting the composition of phytoplankton functional groups.The high summer water temperature and extremely high nitrogen-phosphorus ratio may be important reasons for the formation of the MP+Y phytoplankton functional group structure.Therefore,it is particularly important to control the concentration of nutrients in the summer to achieve the purpose of inhibiting the growth of planktonic plants.
