A Study on the Mechanism and Model for the Continuous Improvement of University Teaching Quality

Abstract
Continuous improvement of teaching quality is essential for enhancing the quality of higher education and expediting the development of a self-reliant and distinguished higher education system.In terms of its internal functioning,the following elements are critical:implementing the student-centered approach by engaging students deeply in educational reforms,that is understanding their needs serves as the foundation for continuous teaching quality improvement;conducting precise evaluations on aspects such as the attainment of teaching objectives and the effectiveness of teaching methods acts as a key nexus for driving improvement;and collaboratively revising key elements including teaching objectives,content,and methods based on evaluation outcomes embodies the core of continuous teaching quality enhancement.From the theoretical framework of"Institutions-Technology-Culture",the pathway of"institutional trust-quality culture-technology application-teaching improvement"constitutes the principal route for promoting continuous teaching quality improvement.Specifically,quality culture plays a significant moderating role in the effect of institutional trust on technology application,while technology application serves as an important mediating factor in the influence of quality culture on teaching improvement.To advance the continuous improvement of teaching quality in higher education institutions,the following measures are proposed:integrate the effectiveness evaluation of teaching systems into institutional self-assessment frameworks to enhance system rationality through such evaluations and provide institutional support for fostering a quality culture;establish collaborative platforms involving multiple stakeholders,including industry representatives,institutional administrators,teachers,and students,to improve the efficacy of teachers'application of digital technologies;and bridge pre-service and in-service teacher education to comprehensively elevate teachers'assessment literacy.关键词
