Abstract
The transition of early Huaxia civilization from fragmentation to a unified state followed an inherent logic and dynamic mechanism.Huaxia civilization did not emerge from a single origin or evolve linearly, but rather resulted from the long-term interaction and gradual integration of the Northwest Highland Cultural Belt and the Southeast Plain Cultural Belt within the Central Plains region. The Northwest Highlands cultural belt fostered a martial culture characterized by militarism, centralization, simplicity, and pragmatism, while the Southeast Plains cultural belt developed a mystical,romantic,inward-looking,and conservative ritual-music culture that intensified social stratification. The collision and complementarity of these two cultures in the Central Plains endowed Huaxia civilization with top-down unifying power and bottom-up innovative force, forming the core essence of"Chineseness."The emergence of the Huaxia ethnic group resulted from the collision and fusion of these two cultural belts within the Central Plains. The rise of nomadic tribes surrounding the Central Plains during the Spring and Autumn period, along with the existential threat they posed to the Huaxia, served as a catalyst for the awakening of Huaxia ethnic consciousness. The Iron Age Revolution during the Warring States period amplified the differences between the two cultural belts, ultimately leading to the Qin's victory over the Chu and the formation of large territorial states.关键词
