Abstract
This article systematically proposes an innovative vision of constructing an integrated air-space-land-sea eye health service system with domestically developed large aircraft as the platform,positioning the Flying Eye Hospital as the core hub.It delves into two pathways,achieving equitable domestic access to eye health services within China and fostering international win-win cooperation,thereby contributing a Chinese solution to promote equity in ophthalmic public health.The Flying Eye Hospital,built on the C909 aircraft platform,is equipped with specialized ophthalmic examination equipment,operating rooms,and life support systems,which enable it to perform complex eye surgeries.Leveraging satellite communications,5G technology,and the ChatZOC ophthalmic large language model,it achieves real-time interconnection with ground-based"5G Intelligent Ophthalmic Mobile Clinic",offshore surgical modules,and grassroots screening units.This forms a flexible,efficient,and full-cycle intelligent eye health service network.The domestic pathway for universalizing eye health services unfolds in four sequential stages.Initially,there is technology verification and pilot demonstration,followed by network expansion and exploration of sustainable models.Then comes system integration and capacity building at the grassroots level,ultimately achieving comprehensive and dynamic nationwide coverage of high-quality resources and solidifying local technical capabilities.The international pathway evolves from targeted resource allocation to technology transfer and collaborative co-building.This progression enables capacity enhancement and self-sustaining iteration,with the final goal of leading standard-setting,participating in global governance,exporting"China Standards,"and contributing to blindness prevention and treatment initiatives in Belt and Road countries and across the globe.This shift moves from unidirectional aid to a partnership model that respects local agency and fosters co-creation,ultimately exporting adaptable"Chinese Standards"to support eye health initiatives and blindness prevention efforts in Belt and Road partner countries and worldwide.The Flying Eye Hospital serves not only as a groundbreaking tool for addressing domestic imbalances in medical resource distribution but also as a national emblem of implementing the"Healthy China"strategy and contributing to the construction of a global community of health for all.It exemplifies China's wisdom and commitment to driving public eye health equity and achieving global win-win outcomes through scientific and technological innovation.关键词
