Application of electrical impedance tomography and virtual reality in respiratory rehabilitation for elderly patients with spinal cord injury
摘要
Abstract
Due to factors such as respiratory muscle paralysis,decreased thoracic compliance,and prolonged bed rest,elderly SCI patients are highly susceptible to pulmonary infections and respiratory failure,which represent the leading causes of death in this pop-ulation.Traditional assessment methods and training approaches for respiratory rehabilitation present certain limitations.By reviewing relevant studies,this paper examines the application value of electrical impedance tomography(EIT)—a non-invasive,real-time,and bedside-operable assessment tool—in the evaluation of pulmonary function in SCI patients,as well as the role of virtual reality(VR)technology in enhancing rehabilitation compliance and correcting abnormal breathing patterns in elderly patients.Furthermore,this study explores the prospects of constructing a closed-loop rehabilitation system integrating"EIT Assessment-VR Training"through the combination of these two technologies,aiming to provide new insights into respiratory management for elderly SCI patients.关键词
